Robbery at the Dallas Card Show

Dallas Card Show Robbery
The Dallas Card Show robbery appears to have been planned. Six 1952 Mickle Mantle cards, a Nolan Ryan card, and a Jackie Robinson were among the product stolen from Legacy Cardz at the Dallas Card Show on the last day of the event in July. It is believed that this amounted to $2 million in value. The thieves had a team of three members that distracted employees with conversation, while a fourth member grabbed a case from under a table. That member had been stacking chairs earlier in the day, presumably casing the vendor’s tables out. The owner, Ashish Jai said, “It was predetermined, and targeted because they knew exactly which case to take, which contained a large portion of my inventory.” Ashish is now offering a $70,000 reward. The Dallas FBI is now assisting with the case, as the amount stolen makes this a federal crime.
